Daran--Imperial Enclave--Hotel Braxilus--Bar Room-
up, her fingers ceasing their fidgeting at the pouch on her belt as
the loud men approach the table of her new motley crew. She suddenly
feels as though she is caught in a spot light as she realizes that
the focus of the new comers was on the man sitting next to her. The
bar had grown oddly quiet around them, and Maebrylla felt her cheeks
flushing red with embarrassment. She was not entirely certain what
was going on between the men, but she knew that it was not her battle
and she knew that she was not interested in getting involved in it.
Whether she was supposed to be in a group with this man who called
himself Egrimm or not, she did not know him other than a name, and
she was not going to get herself hurt in his interests or name.
As the men spoke
to Egrimm, she slowly began to slide out of her seat, on the side
away from Egrimm. She was small, perhaps she could do so unnoticed,
especially if she moved slowly and carefully. She would not simply
flee the scene, but try to melt into the crowd.

Waiting under the table was nerve
wracking. She heard something hit the table with the unmistakable
racket of hardware clattering over a wooden surface. She saw her
chance to strike and did, darting out from under the table and
grabbing one of the aggressors, the glowing wires in her gloves
surging with light as the bolt surged through the pads on her fingers
and in her palms.
She steps back as the man drops to the
ground. It was always surprising when she did something like that,
and she felt that she was breathing heavily through her mouth.
Thinking quickly, Mae slips her fingers out of gloves but leaves them
around her wrist and grabs the pistol the man dropped when he fell;
no sense in allowing him to be armed and coming after them. Tucking
the gun under her belt, she turns her attention to where she heard
the hardware clattering on the table. She quickly brushes things
aside to see if there is anything on interest; if there is, she will
tuck it away in a pocket on her belt.
Acutely aware of the sirens in the
distance, she steps over to the man-who-wasn't-a-man and leans down
to have a look at him. A mech, perhaps a soul mech, sure to have
some useful parts, but she did not have time to fully dissect it.
She gives it a quick look over, paying special attention to where the
bullet ripped through it, looking for anything that catches her
attention or appears useful.

-Egrimm--Imperial Enclave--Hotel Bar Room-"Damnit Meangst." Egrimm sighed as the old bounty hunter crumpled to the floor, bits of scrap scatering all over the floor, some bouncing off his chest. "Keekee." Egrimm whispered in a sweet voice, the Demonette hardly seemed to notice the hole in her torso. "Kindly give me these gentalmen's datapad and purse?" The Demonette visibly trembled at the words of her master, reaching into the men's coats to retreave their possessions. "Thank you sweetheart." Her skin blushing at the touch of his words.Tossing on a light smile as the sirens came closer, "We should be on our way shouldn't we?" Egrimm looked down at the little gnome a moment before snapping his attention to the sneaky bastard who shot Meangst. "Hooligan. I think you should lead the way?" Keekee's skin shifted into an angry red at her master's tone, visibly changing with his emotions. "Keekee, please come with us?" The demonette couldn't move fast enough to clasp onto his side, sighing and rolling her eyes back as she tasted his magic, her skin slowly lightened up into a soft pink.
