Game Type: ZS = Zombie Story
Game Summary: As the threat of zombies spreads from high density populations outward, survivors seek safe haven and each other in the chaos.
Game Setting: A week into the dead rising, the game is set in the Northern Mid-west around a mid-sized city and the rural countryside and numerous small-towns surrounding it.
Climate: The game
will start in late winter. Day to day the temperature can be mildly warm or cold, but the nights can be freezing. Currently there is snowfall and that remains a factor for the next month or so.
Plot Drive: Character interaction and dealing with what could be the end of civilization as we know it.
Player Dynamics: This is a freeform game and potentially round robin. One player will start the first post, introducing their character. Others post, even controlling the first poster's character. The concurrent posters introduce additional characters and plot points to the story. Players keep the story moving, one in each turn, or people posting as they can to keep it moving. People have the freedom to write much of what they please in what way they want, but may want to consult other players for major plot/actions.
Cultural Information: The cities are overrun, zombies are spreading out and have started to hit the surrounding countryside. Think the Night of the Living Dead (the remake is in my mind). Most of the surrounding people are Caucasian Americans with a mixture of some minorities.
Ambience: Other than the chaotic mass killings and wreckage from battles and accidents, the world still looks as people remembered it, only bereft of people and beginning to fill with walking corpses. Cars are wrecked and abandoned as survivors flee for safety, resorting to murder and thievery to survive.
Game BackstoryThe backstory will be touched upon and formed by players. All that is known at this point is the dead are rising and eating the living.
Rules/Guidelines: We’ll deal with this as it comes along. Not many rules to this game.
Vital Game Info: Have fun. This is a project discussed in the chat to get us back in the swing of things without having to have a member take huge GM responsibilities.
